Urban Honey Glazed Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Laura, our Beekeeping Operations Director, suggests this easy to make healthy vegetable for any thanksgiving or friends-giving meal.  She swears that even her friends who hate sprouts, loved it.  Guess you’ll just have to see for yourself.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of Brussels Sprouts, trimmed and quartered
  • 1 lemon cut in half (juice of lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons of Beepods Urban Honey
  • 3/4 cup of roasted, shelled pistachios
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Coat a large saute pan with olive oil and heat on medium.
  2. Add brussels sprouts and juice of half a lemon.  Saute till sprouts begin to brown.
  3. Add pistachios and continue to saute till sprouts are tender.
  4. Add honey, juice of half a lemon and stir till honey glazes sprouts.  Add salt and pepper to taste.
