Beepods "Bee Better Butter" Background

People have been using ingredients gathered from the hive as long as they’ve been beekeeping. Elements from the hive can be used in both health and beauty products. Beepods is dedicated to natural beekeeping methods utilizing all the products from the bees in a caring and mutually beneficial practice. Nothing goes to waste.

To that end, we make our Bee Better Butter from the wax, honey, and propolis collected from our urban hives located all over Milwaukee. All the other ingredients are organic, naturally rendered, and sourced as close to home as possible. The other ingredients we use were gathered with specific aims in mind- they are not set in stone. We encourage you to experiment with oils and butters you may have at home. Make it your own!

The tools and methods we employ to produce these items are simple and manual… but as with the Beepod, chosen for aesthetics, efficiency and functionality first, with cost considerations to follow. You should be able to replicate these results with items in your home kitchen, without having to purchase extra equipment. The exception would be having a kitchen thermometer, which are inexpensive and easy to come by.

Our goal is to have you get started experimenting in your own kitchen - that’s how we got started!
